Gallen Insurance Company Feasibility Study

Option A Elevation

Existing 5,300 square foot office building

The existing building facade is an over built mansard roof with most of the exterior facade painted a muted brown color. The Client felt a more updated look was required for their coporate image, and requested the interior floor plan be revised to incorporate privacy concerns.

Exterior Elevation Renovation Rendering "Option A"

This scheme incorporated a more commercial look to the building by reusing the exisitng gable roof located under the existing mansard roof and creating a more visible contemporary entrance. This scheme proposed re-roofing the project with a standing seam metal roof.

Exterior Elevation Renovation Rendering "Option B"

This scheme proposed using jumbo sized bricks, similar to those found on the existing building, to create a bookcasing towers on either side of the existing building. The east tower would include the entry and new stair to the second floor, the right tower would include a fireplace for the conference room and new signage. A shingled roof was shown to balance the cost of the brick towers.

Exterior Elevation Renovation Rendering "Option C"

This scheme created a clock tower entry that could be used for corporate signage on either side of the tower to attract vehicular traffic from the busy commercial street in front. Skylights were shown as an option to bring more natural dayligh into the work spaces deeper inside the building.

The Client is currently reviewing their financial options and determining the amount of expenditure they wish to pursue renovating their place of business. No construction timetable has been established.
